As the economy hits new lows, creativity and innovation soar. Design thinking now sprawls the modern landscape as a daily nessesity where it once was only a tool for creatives.
We see the idea of copy/paste creativity manifest itself as “mash-ups.” Texting + Email = Twitter. NetFlix + car rentals = ZipCar. 1986 Dodge truck + Farm = Truck Farm. With the help of NYC-based Alive Structures Ian Cheney and Curt Ellis (of King Corn) converted this old dodge in to a portable vegetable and herb garden.
“The recession was upon me, my health was slipping away. I decided what I needed, was more vegetables everyday.”
